Introduction: Throughout our lives, we will encounter different people that will leave imprints in our career. Some of them will lift you up and some will bring you down. The person that I am sharing with you is someone that inspired me to forgo my pursue of my Master’s degree. The reason I picked this person is because she isn’t only a mentor, but someone that I look up to and rely on when I have questions. As a young registered nurse, we need someone to lean on especially when working the night shifts. Resources are scarce at night, and having someone who has the wisdom to teach us the policies that our hospital have, someone who’s there to give us a hand when the going gets tough, that’s what she has been to me. The beginning of her journey in becoming a nurse started with her first baccalaureate degree that focused on Natural Science.
